This is where it all started. The Mellow Factory 1 was the very first mix Stef Segers ever released — back in 1997, when DJ Jean and Peran were dominating the Dutch club scene and Armin van Buuren was still a few years away from becoming a household name. This remake revisits those twenty tracks with fresh ears, keeping the original selection intact and letting the music speak for itself. Enrico and Mark van Dale, Klubbheads, Nuyorican Soul, CJ Bolland — if you were on a dance floor in the Netherlands around that time, these records meant something. If you weren't there, this is what it sounded like.
